Semi-finals Loss Stuns Fans.
Paul Dharmendra RamkissoonIn a rematch of the game just two weeks earlier on the same ground against the same opponent, Oswald Park II, a team that Titans shellacked...the result could not be more different. Having made the semi-finals, Titans were looking the favorites to advance to the finals, but a poor batting effort having been sent in, managing only 150 odd runs and leaving overs to bat meant that the bowling would have to be tight and take wickets to defend and win. In the end, OPII won by run rate as the rain came in a torrent and washed away any hopes of continuing the game and of Titans advancing. It was a marginal result, and an unfittingly dismal way for the season to end for the players and fans. But as they say in South Florida, weather more often than not has it's way and luck was with the opposition on the day.
Good luck to OPII in the Finals and thank you to all the family and friends that made this a special season.
Special congrats also to the Titan's leaders & players who registered their best record as team in the SFCA since inception finishing 7-2-1.
