Titans Get The W!

On a dreary morning, the troops assembled for the commencement of another campaign. The weather forecast of 30% chance of rain was somewhat on our minds, but mostly selfish desires of cricket grandeur was front and center in the minds of the boys. Unfortunately, someone forgot to rally the troops in the other camp as only six opponents turned up...one less than the required number to start the game.  The weather offered them a grace period of an hour but at noon with the sun shining brightly...the umpire requested their team to make themselves ready...and they were found wanting one more. Titans won Game #1 of the 40 Over Regular Season...not in a fashion we can appreciate, but nonetheless a win.  At this point the pent up energy will be re-focused on the home opener...next Sunday.  What a feat in hindsight...and one that was unpredicatable by even our resident forecasters, the Titans are undefeated...that much we could guess at...but without even a ball bowled...surprise, surprise!
