11/15 game summary

In the battle of the undefeated, Titans squared off against Toofan. Titans  fielded first and bowled very well for the first 10 overs. This restricted Toofan to under 70 runs in the first 10 overs. Then in the second half, things turned around for Toofan because of their impressive batting and they ended their score at 167/7. On the other side of things, Titans were welcoming into the team a new member, Gavin Wallace. He played for West Indies A team and brings a lot of skill to the team as a Right-Handed batsman. Titans were also missing a few key members. Team management and team leadership expresses that this was just a bad day where the batting didn’t click. The team is still very optimistic that we can turn this around.

11/1 game summary

Titans remain undefeated at 3-0 romping to victory over Tigers.

An ultra efficient bowling effort that restricted Tigers to 109/8 off their 20 overs was led by EJ Tucker (2-14). Chasing 110 to win, Skipper Dre was in the mood to mop up and head home as he claimed Man of the Match honors for his quickfire 39 of 23 along with two wickets. Titans won rapidly at the 10.4 over mark largely thanks to the return of the Master Blaster, Dalip Madnani whose 44 off 14 balls (SR 314.29) including 6 mighty sixes sealed the Titans victory in style. Next up are three games that will test the team the most, starting with another undefeated BCC Ignite.

10/25 Married Men vs. Single Men Game Summary

On a Sunday where the forecast called for an 80% chance of rain, the Titans assembled to play a contest that carries with it a lot of bragging rights, the Married Men vs. Single Men game.  Even though several key batsmen (Chuck, Andre, Praveen, Vaibhav, Prasad) were missing from the Married Men batting card, after winning the toss they opted to bat first. The Singles led by Vice Captain Suraj, sensed the blood in the water and struck incisively reducing the Married Men to 19/4 in the first 5 overs. The ole Skipper Paul and 66 year old Elton Tucker then proceeded to put on a 50+ run  partnership, but sadly the style matched test cricket more than  T20 and only 92 runs were mustered in the end.  The 92 was then knocked off in 10 overs by the Single Men's Top 3 to claim their crown.  A final mini last laugh though, may have been had by the Married Men who all said fielded only 10 overs and enjoyed batting against a young and spirited bowling attack.
