Game on Saturday, October 10th, 2020
Skipper Avi led an undermanned Titans 2 that had to call up some Titans 1 players to help field 9 men on the day as South India returned to visit at full strength.  Thanks to impressive knocks from Chuck 47, a skippers innings 50 from Avi and an excellent cameo from new recruit Sam of 32...Titans posted a challenging total of 209 in 30 overs.  Thanks to multiple incisive spells from the bowlers that covered the fact that the team was short handed in the field, South India were sent home with the loss having only been able to manage 170 odd runs in their 30 overs.  Highlight of the day was certainly 13-year-old Rishi Jadalla's debut where he managed three economical overs in his first bowling in a real game...ever. It was a heartening effort from all, considering a league level opponent was beaten convincingly by our developmental roster (Titans 2)!

Marked the restart of league competition as the GCCL T20 Week 1 slate saw Titans 1 facing Megablasters Red at Central Broward Regional Park 3&4 in the late game. Considering the quickness of the outfields on the grounds outside the stadium and the batsman friendly wickets...it could be said that the Titans effort with the ball and in the field was nothing short of magnificent as they limited the opposition to 103/9 off 20 overs. Titans1's top order made quick work of the target scoring 105/1 in 10.4 overs to notch up win #1 of what will be a 12 game regular season.  Congrats to Skipper Andre and his men on a brilliant display!

Game on Sunday, October 18th, 2020
Intruders showed up loaded with several USA current and former players and reduced Titans to 65/4 off 11 overs with the top order weakened due to Chuck being left out due to injury .  Skipper Andre played a Captain's innings anchoring the target with a composed 40 off 37 balls.  His vigil was rewarded when in form hard hitting batsman Bharat arrived at the crease and proceeded to take the opposition apart en route to a quickfire 50 off just 36 balls.  A modest target of 131 off 20 was set and the Titans were confident that they could defend it successfully even faced with the strongest opposing batting card of this young season. The bowling was measured and in large part supported by the fielders although several soft catches were dropped.  Kameil's big wicket of Timmy was the nail in the coffin and although with one over to bowl 13 was needed...given that the vice captain Suraj had the ball...the result was assured. Titans rode to a tight victory beating Intruders by 10 runs this past weekend and remain undefeated at 2-0!
